How to Remove Delta homes infection from Internet Explorer shortcuts

* Right click on the shortcut of Internet Explorer / Firefox / Google Chrome and do left click on the properties option. then their properties page you will appear. Delete that following path from target field. (As per below screenshots)

Useful windows commands

There are some things you can only do from the command line, even on Windows. Some of these tools don’t have graphical equivalents, while others are just plain faster to use than their graphical interfaces.
We can’t possibly cover all the useful commands you can use in the Command Prompt or PowerShell here. We’ll be focusing on commands that should be useful even if you’re not a command-line person.

ipconfig – Quickly Find Your IP Address

You can find your IP address from the Control Panel, but this takes quite a few clicks. The ipconfig command is a fast way of determining your computer’s IP address and other information, such as the address of its default gateway — useful if you want to know the IP address of your router’s web interface.
To use the command, just type ipconfig into a Command Prompt window. You’ll see a list of all the network connections your computer is using. Look under Wireless LAN adapter if you’re connected to Wi-Fi or Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection if you’re connected to a wired network.

ipconfig /flushdns – Flush Your DNS Resolver Cache

If you change your DNS server, the effects won’t necessarily take place immediately. Windows uses a cache that remembers DNS responses it’s received, saving time when you access the same addresses again in the future.
To ensure Windows is getting addresses from the new DNS servers instead of using old, cached entries, run the ipconfig /flushdns command after changing your DNS server.

recimg – Create Custom Recovery Images

The Refresh Your PC feature on Windows 8 allows you to restore your computer’s system state to its original state — either from a clean Windows install or as the computer came from its manufacturer. You can create your own custom recovery images, but this feature is hidden — you have to do it with the recimg command from a command line. This allows you to remove manufacturer-installed bloatware or add your favorite desktop programs to your recovery image.

Windows 8.1 removes the Windows 7 backup interface, which allowed you to create system backup images. These system images contain a complete snapshot of every single file on the system, so they’re different from Windows 8′s recovery images.
While the graphical interface has been removed, system administrators and geeks can still create system image backups by running the wbadmin start backup cmdlet in a PowerShell window. Unlike all the other commands here, this command-line tool must be run from within PowerShell, not the Command Prompt.

Windows includes a system file checker tool that scans its system files and looks for problems. If system files are missing or corrupted, the system file checker will repair them. This may fix problems with some Windows systems.
To use this tool, open a Command Prompt window as Administrator and run the sfc /scannow command.

telnet – Connect to Telnet Servers

The telnet client isn’t installed by default. You’ll have to install it from the Control Panel. Once installed, you can use the telnet command to connect to telnet servers without installing any third-party software.
You should avoid using telnet if you can help it, but if you’re connected directly to a device and it requires that you use telnet to set something up — well, that’s what you have to do.

cipher – Permanently Delete and Overwrite a Directory

The cipher command is mostly used for managing encryption, but it also has an option that will write garbage data to a drive, clearing its free space and ensuring no deleted file can be recovered. Deleted files normally stick around on disk unless you’re using a solid state drive. The cipher command effectively allows you to “wipe” a drive without installing any third-party tools.
To use the command, specify the drive you want to wipe like so:
ciper /w:C:\

netstat -an – List Network Connections and Ports

The netstat command is particularly useful, displaying all sorts of network statistics when used with its various options. One of the most interesting variants of netstat is netstat -an, which will display a list of all open network connections on their computer, along with the port they’re using and the foreign IP address they’re connected to.

This isn’t a comprehensive list of all the commands you might find useful, but we hope it’s given you some idea of the many powerful tools lurking under the surface. Linux isn’t the only operating system where users can benefit from learning some commands.

To setup your Gmail account to use IMAP, sign in to your Gmail account and go to Mail.
Click the Settings button in the upper, right corner of the window and select Settings from the drop-down menu.
On the Settings screen, click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
Scroll down to the IMAP Access section and select Enable IMAP.
Click Save Changes at the bottom of the screen.
Close your browser and open Outlook. To begin adding your Gmail account, click the File tab.
On the Account Information screen, click Add Account.
On the Add Account dialog box, you can choose the E-mail Account option which automatically sets up your Gmail account in Outlook. To do this, enter your name, email address, and the password for your Gmail account twice. Click Next.
The progress of the setup displays. The automatic process may or may not work.
If the automatic process fails, select Manual setup or additional server types, instead of E-mail Account, and click Next.
On the Choose Service screen, select POP or IMAP and click Next.
On the POP and IMAP Account Settings enter the User, Server, and Logon Information. For the Server Information, select IMAP from the Account Type drop-down list and enter the following for the incoming and outgoing server information:
  • Incoming mail server: imap.googlemail.com
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.googlemail.com
Make sure you enter your full email address for the User Name and select Remember password if you want Outlook to automatically log you in when checking email. Click More Settings.
On the Internet E-mail Settings dialog box, click the Outgoing Server tab. Select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and make sure the Use same settings as my incoming mail server option is selected.
While still in the Internet E-mail Settings dialog box, click the Advanced tab. Enter the following information:
  • Incoming server: 993
  • Incoming server encrypted connection: SSL
  • Outgoing server encrypted connection TLS
  • Outgoing server: 587
    NOTE: You need to select the type of encrypted connection for the outgoing server before entering 587 for the Outgoing server (SMTP) port number. If you enter the port number first, the port number will revert back to port 25 when you change the type of encrypted connection.
    Click OK to accept your changes and close the Internet E-mail Settings dialog box.
    Click Next.
    Outlook tests the accounts settings by logging into the incoming mail server and sending a test email message. When the test is finished, click Close.
    You should see a screen saying “You’re all set!”. Click Finish.
    Your Gmail address displays in the account list on the left with any other email addresses you have added to Outlook. Click the Inbox to see what’s in your Inbox in your Gmail account.
    Because you’re using IMAP in your Gmail account and you used IMAP to add the account to Outlook, the messages and folders in Outlook reflect what’s in your Gmail account. Any changes you make to folders and any time you move email messages among folders in Outlook, the same changes are made in your Gmail account, as you will see when you log into your Gmail account in a browser. This works the other way as well. Any changes you make to the structure of your account (folders, etc.) in a browser will be reflected the next time you log into your Gmail account in Outlook.

    Continuing our series on learning IT basics, today we’re going to show you how to setup DHCP on Windows Server 2008 instead of using it on a router.
    Note: this is part of our ongoing series teaching IT administration basics, and might not apply to everybody.
    This guide assumes that you have Server 2008 up and running on a machine–if you don’t, you should check out our guide on how to install it. You should also have set a static IP address on the server before continuing.
    To get started, fire up the Server Manager, right click on roles, and then select add roles.
    You will be prompted with the normal “Before You Begin” screen, and after clicking Next you’ll be able to choose DHCP Server.
    Next you’ll want to select the network connection to bind the DHCP protocol to.
    Put in the IP address of your DNS Server, which in this case is the same machine–but be careful not to put the loopback address (127.0.0.1) as this will be the address your clients will go to for name resolution.
    Click next again to skip the WINS setup, this will bring you to creating a DHCP Scope, where you can click the Add button.
    Now you need to:
    • Give your scope a name
    • Enter the first address that you want available to clients to use
    • Enter the last address that you want available to clients to use
    • Enter the subnet mask (usually 255.255.255.0)
    • Enter the IP address of your default gateway (usually your router IP at .1)
    Once you have clicked on OK, you can click next 4 times to get to the confirmation screen where you can finally click install.
    Once the installation is complete your DHCP will be functioning, and you can start managing your DHCP server right away.

    How to Install Internet Information Services (IIS) in Windows Server 2008

    Hello,
    In this article I will explain how to install Internet Information Services (IIS) in Windows Server 2008 R2 with all of the role services enabled. When you install this in a production environment, it’s a good idea to only enable to role services you require.
    Note: You’ll need to have local administrator rights in order to complete this process.

    Installing Internet Information Services

    • Click the Start button and type server in the Search programs and files text box
    • Click Server Manager in the Programs list

    • In the Server Manager, right click Roles and click Roles

    • On the Before you Begin screen, review the verification steps, ensure that each bullet point is true on the server your working on, then click Next

    • On the Web Server (IIS) screen, review the information and click Next

    • On the Select Role Services screen, select the check box on the top item – Web Server to select all items in the Role services list and click Next
